There
was once a family who lived in a small wooden house that is surrounded with
humongous pine trees around it, not to mention that there was also a small lake
at the back of the house. It was a family of four. Two small little girls, and
their parents. Everyday, they would always hear the sound of footsteps on their
ceilings, and everytime they go to sleep, they will never miss the chance of
hearing something else that is even more deadly than the sound of footsteps. The
fact that they hear these sounds everyday, makes it natural for them. Day, by
day, they no longer have the fear of these sounds.
It was a Sunday morning where everyone
was still asleep. The air was fresh and cold as ever. Even though it’s summer,
everyone in the house seems to be freezing. Lily and her sister, Gracie sleep
in the same bed. The walls of their room are filled with their dark paintings
of a very tall man wearing a dark suit. His eyes looking straight into anyone’s
eyes who looks at it.
Few months back, when the family just moved
into the house, Lily’s and Gracie’s mother would look at the paintings that
they drew and throw them away, saying the paintings were useless and are scaring
her to death. But later on, after knowing that she had been too harsh as a
mother, she apologized, but that does not change the fear that she had for the
paintings.
Gracie wakes up giggling, looking at her
twin sister who had her thumb sucked in her mouth. Gracie yawns and looks
around her messy room filled with toys on the floor. Suddenly, she hears
another child laughing and the sound of footsteps begin to appear on the
ceiling.
What Gracie’s family does not know about
her, is that she is still afraid of the sounds. She hides under her blanket and
pretends to sleep, but her hands cannot stop shaking. She closes her eyes and
hopes that the sounds will go away, only it did not.
Slowly, she feels like something is
reaching for her feet underneath the blanket. She soon starts to cry quietly. “Shhh,
don’t cry…” someone whispered and she opens her eyes as wide as she could, only
to find another sharp eyes looking at her.
She screams and flew out of the bed,
falling on the floor. “MOM! DAD! PLEASE SAVE ME!” she screamed. A few seconds
later, Lily wakes up, looking at Gracie, feeling shocked. Eventually, her
parents burst through the door of her room.
“Honey, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”
Her mother asked kneeling down to her daughter. Gracie soon crawls on her lap,
crying and hugging her tightly.
“Tell us, what happened?” Her father
asked quietly, not knowing a thing, “Why did you open the window?” The wind
flies into her room, making them freezing even more.
“I did not! It must be Madame Gavilson!”
Gracie stated out with a thick Irish accent, making her parents even more
confused.
“Madame Gavilson? Who is she?” Her
mother asks.
“To be honest, she always disturbs us,
but we decided not to tell you about that, because we did not want you to
worry,” Lily explained, frowning.
“That’s it guys. Gracie,I think you were
just having a nightmare. You should forget everything that happened, alright?
It was nothing, “Her father said, shaking his head, thinking what his daughter
had said was nonsense.
“I know why you are saying that!” Gracie
stands up and starts to back away from her parents, pulling Lily towards her,
“You think we are just 10 year-old kids who are always seeing stuff, and
everything that we saw were just nightmares even though they were actually
true!”
Their parents look at them with wide
eyes, starting to speak up, but not knowing what to say.
“Yes, they think that we are useless. We
are nothing to them, we do not belong here. I think we should go now,” Lily
mumbled, pulling out a kitchen knife under her pillow.
“Lily, I-I think you’re going too far.
What are you doing with that kitchen knife? Please put it away.” Gracie starts
to feel scared of her twin sister, and before knowing it, both of her hands
were held by her parents who are looking at her strangely into her eyes,
smiling cruelly. “W-what are you doing?! Let me go!” She shouts out, but there
was no one there to hear her shouting. They don’t even have a single neighbor
around their house.
Poor Gracie, her whole body was skinned
by her twin sister and after that process, her mother goes to the kitchen
singing, “Wait, wait, wait, for me, I’ll get some salt~ Killing my own
daughter, not bothering about her at all~” After throwing salt on her beloved
daughter’s skinned body, just to hear her daughter screams painfully, it was her turn to be killed, and after her, was
her husband, and soon enough, it was her daughter Lily, who killed herself with the kitchen knife.
After a few weeks, their body was found
by their relatives who came to visit.

5 years later
“Dude, we
should seriously go to the Carson ’s
family house. Like a ghost hunt or something you know?”
“You wanna
get killed? That place is haunted man, no one is crazy enough to go there,”
“Carson ’s family house?
What’s it about?”
“A happy,
loving family was brutally murdered in that house. It was said that they killed
themselves or something like that. But what that family did not know was that
that house actually has a cemetery underneath the basement. And the most
revengeful spirit called Madame Gavilson also lives there. The family were
possessed by the spirits living in the house. And the most evil one entered one
of the children’s body in the family. It was also said that the spirits were
controlling the body, but the one who actually owns the body, still feels the
pain when they were killed,”
“So like,
even if the spirit that possesses the body harms the body that it’s possessing,
it won’t feel any pain, but the person who owns the body would? So basically,
it means that they are trapped inside their own bodies?”
“Yeah
something like that. Creepy huh?”
